„Mała biała chmurka, która płakała” jest hołdem złożonym legendarnemu reżyserowi Jackowi Smithowi. W nakręconym na taśmie 16 mm filmie występują Lexi Tronic i Breanna Taylor. Tytuł filmu został zaczerpnięty z piosenki Johnniego Raya. Guy Maddin swój opisuje następująco: Pogańskie bożki wodne napotykają Świętą Parę, Jezusa i Marię Dziewicę, w konfrontacji z pełnym kolorem na islandzko-kanadyjskiej plaży. Dążenie do końca rozwiązuje wszelkie ziemskie/duchowe/seksualne konflikty wszechświata.
