DANISH DOGME AND AFTER – lecture of Peter Schepelern

On March 19th, 2015 at 19.00 we invite to a lecture on the Danish Dogme and its influence on the Danish and international cinema. The lecture will officially open a review REBELLION, PROVOCATION AND AVANGARDE according to DOGME 95.

The Danish Dogme films received international attention and put Denmark on the film map in the late 1990s. Peter Schepelern who had Lars von Trier as a student at University of Copenhagen in the 1970s will talk about Dogme 95, its background and its consequences.

Peter Schepelern, born 1945, is Associate Professor at University of Copenhagen. Schepelern has published books on Trier (in Danish) as well as a number of articles on Trier, on Dogme 95, and on Contemporary Danish Cinema.


Lecture will be held in English. Duration: 60 min.

Entrance free of charge. Tickets to be collected from the box office in Iluzjon cinema. No Reservations
